One-page quick start

Before you start

• Authenticator app on your phone (install it first)
• Government photo ID
• Bank details for funding
• 64-bit Windows 10 (19044) or 11
• An email address you check

1. Brokerage account

1. Sign up at alpaca.markets
2. Turn on the authenticator - SAVE THE RECOVERY CODES
3. Verify your identity, wait for approval
4. Link your bank and fund it (money must settle)
5. Generate API keys - copy the secret at once, it shows only once

2. Get your key

1. Email [email protected] asking for access
2. $50/month; your activation key arrives by email
3. Check spam if it has not arrived; keep the email

3. Install

1. Download KUT-Setup.exe from kirbytrader.com/download
2. Windows warns: More info, then Run anyway
3. Click through the installer, then open the app

4. Activate and start

1. Paste the activation key, click Validate key
2. Choose PAPER (recommended) or Real Money
3. Paste the Alpaca key ID and secret, save
4. Preferences: strategies = Both, risk = 1.00% (defaults)
5. Press Start Trading

Then

• The first trade may take days. Silence is normal.
• Leave the PC awake during market hours.
• Check the mode badge (bottom-left) before anything.
• Stop Trading pauses; Close All sells everything.
